Police Jobs

What you need to know

1. 1
State police (constable, sub-inspector) is recruited by each state's own board. Central forces (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles) recruit constables through SSC GD.
2. 2
Constable needs Class 10 (central forces, some states) or Class 12 (Delhi and most big states). Sub-Inspector and officer posts need a degree.
3. 3
Every route has a running test, height rules and strict eyesight rules: constables usually cannot wear glasses.
4. 4
Selection is only through open exams. Paper leaks and fake "setting" agents are crimes.

"Pay for a police job" or "setting": selection is only on merit. Paper leaks get exams cancelled (UP's constable exam was cancelled in 2024) and are crimes with long jail terms.
2. 2
Fake notices and websites appear often. SSC applications are only on ssc.gov.in or the mySSC app; state boards post rebuttals of fake news.
3. 3
Sending a "dummy candidate" is caught by biometrics and leads to cancellation and arrest. Lost money? Call 1930.
